Corry faced off against North East at the 2023 ECL Classic held at Fairview.  North East jumped out to an early 6-0 lead which forced Corry to call a timeout.  Corry continued to battle and was able to finish the quarter down 17-6.  The 2^nd and 3^rd quarters were neck and neck with Corry winning the 2^nd 8-7 and North East winning the 3^rd10-9.  In the 4^th, with North East still holding on to an 11 point lead, Corry’s offense stalled and was only able to generate 4 points.  Corry finished with 27 points to North East’s 42 points for Corry’s fourth loss of the season.  

Offensively, we were led by Grace Allen with 10 points/3 assists followed by Rylee Nickerson with 6 points, Halle Albers with 5 points/1 assist, Sadye Dyne with 4 points, Kaygen Rogers with 2 points, and Kaycee Porter and Haley Mumau with 1 assist each.  Defensively, Rylee led us on the glass with 14 rebounds and 3 steals  followed by Kaygen with 4 rebounds, Grace and Lauren Thomas with 3 rebounds each, Halle and Haley with 2 rebounds each, Kaycee, Lauren, and Lindsey Hasbrouck with 1 steal each.

We need to limit our turnovers.  26 is too many against a team like North East.  I was pleased with how the team responded with being down by double digits early in the first quarter.  We could have folded and just let North East walk all over us but instead we battled back and cut the deficit to single digits at one point in the game.
